"What triggered the anomalous behavior that Nagato cannot understand? What exactly was the error data she’s been accumulating? It was the most basic of things. Even for an AI that shouldn’t stray from it’s program parameters, or for a robot, given enough time, its natural for that to develop. You won’t understand, but I do. And Haruhi probably does too. That, Nagato, is what we call emotions."
so this is my all time favorite movie and the best thing kyoani has ever made
When did you start drawing, and what materials do you use?
I’ve been drawing my entire life but I started drawing digitally/focusing more on developing skills at around 11-12 years old. On the computer I use Paint Tool SAI almost exclusively and photoshop CS3 for occasional after effects (usually sharpening/slight color tweaks)
big file so here are some close ups of her face :>
i did the switch-around art meme w/ two of my friends! I’m responsible for the sketch, trahearnes did the lineart and unhooking-the-stars did the coloring! heck yeah good work team
version 2! i never intended there to be two versions but i made the background invisible for a second and realized it looked good like this too and i couldnt decide which to upload so I’m posting them both separately
coloring practice. version 1. my growing love for rei is endless
I’m 20 years late but I finally watch nge……..learning how to draw these kids (*rei’s hair)

Hey Alexia's Anon! I'm here to help w/ printing size. If you want to do a print up to 11x17 I like to play it safe and draw on a 11x17 canvas and then for smaller size go into photoshop or sai(or even gimp) and adjust as it needs to be for the smaller canvas. The most common printing sizes are 3300x5100 with the resolution at 300 (also called DPI). You can tweet the canvas to whatever size for printing if its bigger then the size you want but the resolution ALWAYS needs to be 300-350 dpi!
here is nico to save the day
